May 2015 was the National Urgent Care Awareness Month set by the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA). The association declared this celebration to drum up awareness about the role of the urgent care industry to health care, as well as the contributions of its professionals. The association utilized the social media platform Twitter to coordinate participation of centers across the nation in the awareness drive.
